A word from our President on HS Math Analyzers'Â Journey:
The Beginning:
HS Math Analyzers started in the Summer of 2020.
The YouTube Channel aimed to help students like us understand High School Math in more comprehensible ways. We believed because we are students, it made the most sense to teach math by people that learned it, like us! When school resumed, we decided it was best to pause HS Math Analyzers due to the school year coming up. The pressure of trying to post one video every 2 weeks while knowing that we were inexperienced with speaking and teaching helped reassure our decision. As president, I felt really discouraged and didn't know if HS Math Analyzers would ever continue.
However, that all changed with the New Year coming up!
The Re-Launch of HS Math Analyzers:
Because of COVID-19, our learning was mostly remote!

As a result, teachers had to be creative in how they wanted to give students classwork, homework, and assessments!
Our math teachers were creative with our assessments by asking us to record videos of ourselves explaining and going over the questions we answered, and pretending that a student who didn't learn what we were learning, could understand it. Even though this experience was very challenging, we all had to push through it because after all, it IS an assessment!
As the New Year was coming up, I realized that the videos that my peers and I were creating HS Math Analyzers content!

With this NEW realization, I wanted to re-launch HS Math Analyzers again! I contacted as many friends as I could on what I wanted to do and why it would be doable.
However, with remote learning and homework, many students had their hands full already. There were also some concerns on if people would have enough time. Slowly, the re-imagined group of HS Math Analyzers dwindled. 8 Members turned into 5, then it eventually turned into 3 people including me, with varying levels of how each person thought on how HS Math Analyzers should proceed.

When HS Math Analyzers re-launched, I knew that this would be the last time I would try to re-launch HS Math Analyzers so I decided I would dedicate everything I could to make HS Math Analyzers SUCCESSFUL and CONSISTENT.

With that mindset, my members and I were able to come together and make our first video from the hiatus, PEMDAS, posted on March 1st of 2021. From that video on, we continued to post 2-3 times monthly!
Summer & New Plans
I believe it's important to continue developing HS Math Analyzers and be consistent. During the summer, HS Math Analyzers are presenting videos about Functions, a key topic in Algebra! Check out this PLAYLIST for the series! We have also launched our NEWEST Social Media platform, TikTok, where we are teaching SAT Math in 1 Minute!
Over the fall, HS Math Analyzers are looking forward to being expanded as a NEW club at an NYC High School!
